In a bold move to redefine affordable luxury housing, Nigerian real estate giant Gtext Holdings has announced plans to develop 2,000 cutting-edge smart estates across Nigeria, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The ambitious initiative, revealed during a land allocation ceremony and the grand opening of Garnet Resort City in Abuja’s upscale Asokoro district, underscores the firm’s commitment to bridging housing gaps while catering to diverse income brackets.
Martha Onsachi, a key sales executive at Gtext Holdings, emphasized the dual focus of the project: delivering premium living spaces and ensuring accessibility through flexible payment structures. “Our brand symbolizes luxury and comfort, but we’ve prioritized inclusivity. Whether for high-net-worth individuals or middle- and low-income earners, our goal is to make dream homes achievable,” Onsachi stated at the event. She added that the global expansion aims to serve Nigerians abroad and international clients seeking modern, tech-integrated communities.
The initiative has garnered praise from public figures, including former Inspector General of Police Mike Okiro, who highlighted its potential to alleviate Abuja’s housing crisis. “Abuja’s population boom demands innovative solutions. Gtext’s model—selling affordable plots and allowing gradual construction—empowers citizens to own homes without financial pressure,” Okiro remarked. He lauded the company’s phased payment plans, which enable buyers to secure land and build incrementally, easing the burden of lump-sum payments.
Garnet Resort City, the flagship project unveiled at the event, is touted as both a residential haven and a lucrative investment. Shola Olufemi, acting manager of Gtext’s Abuja branch, described the estate as a “goldmine” due to its prime hilltop location and proximity to elite neighborhoods like the Nigerian Air Force Valley Estate. “This isn’t just housing it’s a strategic asset poised for high returns,” Olufemi asserted, noting the development’s appeal to investors and homeowners alike.
With projects already underway, Gtext Holdings positions itself as a pioneer in Nigeria’s real estate sector, blending smart technology, scenic landscapes, and financial flexibility to democratize homeownership. As the firm eyes international markets, its vision promises to reshape urban living while addressing one of Africa’s most pressing challenges: accessible housing.
