BLIM, Ideas House to Honour Influential People Managers on World Managers Appreciation Day

Event Set to Celebrate Managers Who Shape Careers and Drive Organizational Growth

Business Leadership & Innovation Management (BLIM), a rapidly growing career and leadership institute, in collaboration with Ideas House, a leading marketing agency, is set to recognize exceptional leaders who have made a significant impact in people management.

Both organizations are gearing up to host the inaugural World Managers Appreciation Day (WMAD) on March 25, a dedicated day to honor managers who have consistently nurtured young professionals, guiding them through pivotal career growth stages.

To mark this milestone, a series of insightful activities have been planned, including a high-impact virtual roundtable discussion themed "Becoming a Great and Impactful Manager of People." The session will feature renowned business and leadership experts such as Alex Gomaa business and leadership consultant; Enobong Ezekiel, general manager, strategy and general performance at Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO); Emmanuel Agu, a marketing and leadership consultant; Kehinde Salami, a leadership expert; and Abiodun Ajiborode, a business and career coach.

According to Abiodun Ajiborode, WMAD is designed to spotlight and celebrate managers who play a crucial role in talent development. “Many exceptional managers go unrecognized despite their significant contributions. WMAD is here to change that narrative,” he emphasized.

While the initiative is launching in Nigeria, Ajiborode expressed confidence that it would evolve into a global movement, encouraging corporate organizations and government institutions to adopt the celebration.

Kehinde Salami, CEO of Ideas House Limited, pointed out that while the corporate calendar is packed with events recognizing various stakeholders, no official day has been designated to appreciate line managers who make strategic decisions and lead teams to success. "That changes now," he declared, confirming that March 25 will be dedicated annually to celebrating these unsung heroes.

To further amplify appreciation, employees can visit the WMAD website to order gifts for their current or former managers as a token of gratitude for their mentorship and influence.

With its first edition set to make waves, WMAD aims to create a lasting culture of recognizing and celebrating those who shape organizations' futures through effective people management.
